The e-Brasil project needs financial resources to carry out its activities. Financial contributions are being administered by the  Euclides da Cunha Foundation  (FEC), a private institution (de Direito Privado) established on 19 November 1997 with the mission of supporting the  Federal Fluminense University (Universidade Federal Fluminense) (UFF), under Federal Law  n° 8.958/94, and accredited with the Ministries of Education and Science and Techology, being registered in the foundation registry (Provedoria das Fundações do Ministério Público) of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Donations to the e-Brasil project through the Euclides da Cunha Foundation are tax exempt and deposited in a segregated account in the name Fundação Euclides da Cunha, Brazilian Tax number (CNPJ) 3438229/0001-09, current account N^o 33.080-9 in the Bank of Brazil, Agency 2907-6 (Icaraí) and can only be disbursed by the President of the FEC with the authorization of the Coordinator of the  e-Brasil project.
